HCC Youth Ministries

Everything we do at HCC Youth is designed to help students connect, grow, and begin to live outwardly as they become fully devoted followers of Christ. Our youth group meeting formats vary depending on the ministry and age group, but for the most part the elements remain the same. There will be time for games, activities, a brief message based on scripture and applicable to life as a teen, community, or "hang" time, discussions, and an opportunity for worship.
We also focus strongly on leadership development, and we offer age-appropriate opportunities in that arena. Dynamic discussions, trips, speakers, activities, worship and projects are some specific ways in which we help students dig into the leader growing inside.
You'll also find a variety of "extra-curricular" activities as well, all of which are designed to be strong community-builders, while also fitting the appropriate purpose for which they are geared. Mission trips, service projects, fund raiser dinners, Xbox© parties, lockins, ski trips, flag football... they are just a few of the many chances HCC Youth have to get together to build community and develop spiritually.
Listed below are some of our constantly evolving and developing programs. Should you have any questions, please feel free to shoot us an email or call. Jim Lane, HCC Youth & Outreach Pastor jlane@horizoncommunity.org 303.791.2143

PULSE is our mid-high youth group and meets every Sunday night from 6:00 - 7:30 PM. For 6th-8th grade students, our games, discussions and activities are all geared to help us have a blast while we get to know ourselves, our friends and our God better.
HALO, our senior high youth group, meets every Sunday from 7:45 - 9:15 PM. Great worship, games, discussions, snacks and new friends are just a few reasons to come hang out. It’s about being real with ourselves, God, and others.
The EDGE is for student leaders from 9th grade up, meeting every Thursday night. There is an application process, so students that would like to be involved should send an email with a brief description of what God has been doing in your life and what Jesus means to you.
ETHOS, a discipleship group for college-aged young adults, meets every Thursday night. Ethos comes from a term meaning custom, practice, or habit. Our goal at Ethos is to make faith and life intersect in such a complete way that it all becomes one thread of our lives, not just pieces or portions of it. Through worship, discussion, contemplation, trips, activities and encouragement we'll be continually digging deeper.
SKI KEYSTONE - Horizon Community Church takes four trips this season to Keystone (December 22, January 26, February 23, and March 29). For more info, contact us by phone or email.
